2011 Issue

For 35 years US Magnesium, LLC has steadily provided over 400 Utahans with secure employment. Furthermore, to enhance the local community we recently supported the development of a Wildlife Interpretive Center on Stansbury Island, providing wetlands access to the public and hands-on education for local students. Local Environmental US Magnesium’s large use of solar energy, combined with reductions in air emissions and energy consumption, led to our reception of Utah’s Environmental Consciousness Award for Excellence in Manufacturing. Moreover, the use of our lightweight metal facilitates a reduction of vehicle emissions in North America. Impact US Magnesium is the largest primary magnesium producer in North America; providing secure domestic supply to a wide range of industries including titanium, zirconium, aluminum, automotive, chemical, beryllium and ferroalloy, as well as the U.S. Department of Defense.
