Mr. Caliendo has served as a Civil & Environmental Engineering Pro- fessor at Utah State University for 23 years and has displayed excel- lent ability, character, and excitement for civil engineering education. He enjoys a reputation as a favorite among students and has proven to be a memorable educator for nearly all students that complete Civil Engineering degrees at Utah State. He specializes in geotech- nical engineering instruction and has taught Strength of Materials, Engineering Surveying, Soil Mechanics, Foundation Engineering, and Deep Foundations courses. He served as the State Geotechnical Engineer for the Florida Department of Transportation from 1985 to 1992 and was an Adjunct Professor for the University of Florida during that time.
