ENGINEERING EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR NOMINEE Tadd T. Truscott The Society of American Military Engineers has nominated Dr. Tadd T. Truscott, a Utah State Assistant Professor for Utah’s Engineering Educator of the Year. You may have seen Dr. Truscott on your TV in over 80 popular media appearances or presentations: KSL, Discovery Channel, NPR Science Friday, Popular Science, NYT, BBC, The Verge, SNL, Gizmodo, & etc. He supports, helps, and mentors kids from Nephi to North Ogden. His focus in the areas of fluid dynamics and engineering include natural swarms and crowds, water surface skipping, and slender body water entry. He is active in SeaPerch. ENGINEERING EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR NOMINEE Andy George The Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE) has nominated Dr. Andy George, an assistant professor at BYU, as Utah’s Engineering Educator of the Year. Dr. George has also been active in International Committee on Composite Materials, the European Soci- ety for Composite Materials and the Minerals, Metals and Materials Society. Dr. George is known for his math models that predict composites manufacturing processes and his course, "History of Creativity."
